London - Mean Fiddler
Inner City Unit + David Devant & his Spirit Wife + Akira

Despite a late forced change of venue and an early start to vacate the space for an after-hours club, the band played a storming set to a partying crowd. The set included old favourites ‘Cars Eat With Autoface’ and ‘Sid's Song’, in addition to the material played at the Astoria in October, alongside Judge Trev's ‘One Move’ and Kylie Minogue's ‘Can't Get You Out Of My Head’.

Original members Nik (sax, flute, vox), Judge Trev (guitar, vox), Steve Pond (guitar, vox), Nazar AliKhan (bass), and Dino Ferrari (drums) were joined by Baby Face Rick Welsh (trumpet), Commander Jim Hawkman (synth), and Ola (backing vocals). The gig also premiered the band's new urban/slogan slide show, directed by Mike Heath.
Set list: Bones of Elvis / Cars Eat with Autoface / Virgin Love / Two Worlds / Walking in the Sand / Little Black Egg / Sid's Song / Solitary Astrid / Cybernetic Love / Gas Money / Skinheads in Leningrad / One Move / Rajneesh / I want to come back from the World of LSD / Fungus among us / Watching the Grass Grow / Can't get you out of my head / In the Mood

“Strange Trips”
USA - Atlanta, Georgia - 9 Lives Saloon
Mister Quimby's Beard + Harvey Bainbridge + Nik Turner + Spaceseed
Nik Turner's appearance in Atlanta as part of the Strange Trips tour was a smashing success. He joined billmate Harvey Bainbridge during his set and they damn near levitated. Nik, backed by a set of Chicago session aces, provided a set of rare Inner City Unit material and Hawkwind® classics.

Nik spent a lot of time with support act Spaceseed and their rubber blowup doll Jenni. Needless to say a good time was had by all. Headliners Mister Quimby's Beard closed the evening with a powerful set of soon-to-be acid rock classics. - John “conraider” Pack
